The entire professional activity of Jerzy Świecimski was connected with our institution. Primarily a volunteer (1945-1949), after graduating in biology and fine arts, in 1956 he was formally employed first as a zoologist, then as a museum exhibition designer in the Institute's Museum of Natural History. Retired in 1992, Jerzy Świecimski continued his researches on the theoretical museology and was very active as an artist.
