At first, Adam Krzanowski was employed at the field station of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Puławy 1951-1962. From 1962 until his retirement in 1985, he was a researcher at our institution.
His research activity has focused on several areas: ornithology, ecology and chiropterology - the latter he devoted the most time and energy. He was at that time the most prominent chiropterologist in Poland, and was widely known in scientific circles abroad.
