Recent and fossil Trichoceridae (Diptera Nematocera). Palaeontology & evolution of the Diptera. True crabs of the Mesozoic in Europe.

Current Research Projects

• Fossil Diptera Nematocera: evolution and phylogeny of particular families based primarily on inclusions in Mezozoic and Cenozoic fossil resins.
• Holarctic Diptera of the genus Trichocera (Diptera: Trichoceridae): biodiversity and phylogeny. Trichocera maculipennis, an invasive species in maritime Antarctis.
• True crabs (Brachyura) of the Upper Jurassic of Europe: new species, palaeoenvironment and phylogenetical relationships based on the structure of fossilized carapaces. Cooperation with dr Natalia Starzyk.
